Two Hospitals of Providence team members selected to Texas Hospitals Association Leadership Fellows Program

Year-long program will advance skills needed to drive change and innovation in healthcare

EL PASO, Texas — Continuing its mission to produce leaders in the healthcare community, as well as the El Paso community, The Hospitals of Providence recently announced that two of its team members have been accepted to the Texas Hospital Association Leadership Fellows Program.

The Hospitals of Providence’s Jessica Loy and Megan Powe will participate in the program designed to bring healthcare leaders together for a focused study in becoming effective healthcare advocates and developing comprehensive knowledge in healthcare integration.

Jessica LoyJessica Loy has been with The Hospitals of Providence since 2011. As a Physician Recruiter she has helped lead the charge in bringing over 100 top-notch physicians to The Hospitals of Providence network. Loy received her Bachelor degree in Political Science from the University of Texas at El Paso, before receiving her Juris Doctor from University of Wisconsin Law School in Madison, Wisconsin. Since joining The Hospitals of Providence, Loy has also received her Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at El Paso in 2017.

Megan PoweMegan Powe, Director of Strategy for The Hospitals of Providence Sierra Campus and Transmountain Campus, began her career with The Hospitals of Providence as an Administrative Resident in 2015, before being named Director of Strategy for the Sierra Campus in 2016. She joined The Hospitals of Providence team after completing an Administrative Residency at East Cooper Medical Center, a 140-bed facility in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, owned by The Hospitals of Providence’s parent company, Tenet Healthcare. Powe holds a Master of Health Care Administration Degree from Trinity University in San Antonio and Bachelor of Business Administration from Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama.

The yearlong program consists of four modules, which consist of key policy core competency, real-time legislative updates, quality and patient safety issues, leadership and building engagement, and CEO innovations. Fellows attend modules in Austin at the Texas Hospital Association headquarters.
