La Mariposa Hospice Bereavement Program provides emotional, social and spiritual support to families after the death of their loved ones. Our team helps grieving families adjust to life without their loved ones and will follow-up with family members through telephone, correspondence and/or personal visits. Home visits are conducted as needed or upon request.
A memorial service is held annually to honor the memory of the loved ones’ who have died through hospice services. It is a unique way for families to express their love and affection, but most of all a “Celebration of Life.”
The Bereavement Program Coordinator also provides grief support groups sponsored by The Rio Grande Cancer Foundation, three to four times a year. This program offers six consecutive weekly sessions, which allows loved ones to work through their grief. This group is also open to the public. Pre-Registration is required.
Bereavement and grief services are provided up to one year after the loss of a loved one. To register for a Grief Support session or for more information contact us at (915) 577-8467.
