Andrea Cortinas serves as the Vice-Chair for the 2025 Memorial Campus and Sierra Campus Governing Board. She is the Vice President & Chief of Staff at The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), where she plays a key role in advancing the university’s mission by overseeing various programs and initiatives, including the implementation of UTEP’s 10-year strategic plan. Ms. Cortinas provides leadership for multiple global campus departments, including Legal Affairs, Planning, Institutional Compliance, Institutional Audit, University Police, Government Relations, International Relations, and University Events. She earned her law degree from The University of California, Berkeley School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from UTEP
