EL PASO, TX - The Hospitals of Providence East Campus joins an elite group of hospitals achieving national accreditation from the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP) by the American College of Surgeons recognizing The Hospitals of Providence Weight Loss Center East as a Comprehensive Center for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.

Hospitals being recognized as a MBSAQIP Comprehensive Center have demonstrated that bariatric surgery patients receive care from a multidisciplinary team of providers that strives to improve patient outcomes and long-term success. MBSAQIP accredited centers focus on tracking outcomes of patients who undergo bariatric surgery and providing continuous quality improvement processes to make sure patients receive the highest level of care.

The Hospitals of Providence Weight Loss Center East along with The Hospitals of Providence Weight Loss Center West now both maintain the MBSAQIP designation, proudly making them the most extensive bariatric program in the region.
