The Hospitals of Providence Sierra Campus once again earns National ACC HeartCARE Center Designation

EL PASO, Texas — The Hospitals of Providence Sierra Campus has once again earned the HeartCARE Center National Distinction of Excellence. This is the highest cardiology designation possible by the American College of Cardiology (ACC). This makes Sierra Campus one of only 42 hospitals in the U.S., and the only hospital in El Paso and the surrounding area, to both achieve and maintain this designation for the fourth year in a row.

Hospitals receiving the HeartCARE Center designation from the ACC have demonstrated their commitment to consistent, high-quality cardiovascular care through comprehensive process improvement, disease and procedure-specific accreditation, professional excellence, and community engagement.

“Our commitment to advancing and expanding heart care services for our community has never been stronger – we continue to offer cardiovascular patients new services to ensure they can receive the care they need close to home,” said Rob J. Anderson, Chief Executive Officer for The Hospitals of Providence Sierra Campus. “Earning this achievement once again is a huge success for our team and shows the dedication we have to care for our community.”

The cardiovascular epicenter for The Hospitals of Providence, the Sierra Campus continues to expand heart care services for the El Paso region offering the latest in advanced heart care procedures and pulmonary valve replacements. The Sierra Campus offers a comprehensive cardiovascular care program from diagnosis to rehab with a Cardio Nurse Navigator to navigate patients throughout their journey and by coordinating patient’s healthcare needs and answering questions along the way.  The on-site Cardiac Rehabilitation Program helps patients continue their healing after a procedure.
