K. Alan Russell
Alan Russell co-founded Tecma in 1986 and serves as Chairman and CEO. Now in his 37th year, Alan has grown the company into a respected National Leader in the ever-complex nearshore solutions in Mexico. The company’s Shelter Operations now cover sites throughout Mexico with more than 70 operating facilities. Additionally, the Transportation and Customs divisions add to Tecma’s vertical integration model providing door-to-door freight and logistics service. Mr. Russell is a member of several associations supporting bi-national business, health, and community matters and serves on the board of directors for several organizations such as banking and economic development. He is a major supporter of the El Paso Chamber of Commerce and the University of Texas Athletics programs. Mr. Russell and his wife Patty are financial sponsors of C.A.F.E., a college scholarship foundation. Mr. Russell has served as Past President of the Chamizal Foundation dealing with border health, as Founder and Past President of the International Amigo Airsho, and as Founding Director of the El Paso Susan B. Komen Race for the Cure.
Mr. Russell has accepted multiple awards on behalf of Tecma for leadership in environmental achievements, including the coveted top 100 “Great Place to Work” recognition.
Additionally, he was honored by Southern Oklahoma State University as their 2010 Distinguished Alumni. In recognition of his leadership in promoting aviation through education, Mr. Russell was inducted into the El Paso Aviation Hall of Fame. He is a passionate warbird enthusiast.
