Since his arrival in the Sun City, Mr. Taylor has been instrumental in the success of the El Paso Chihuahuas, overseeing the team’s brand launch on October 22, 2013, and helping Southwest University Park become one of the premier venues in the region. Under his leadership, the Chihuahuas have become one of the top-performing teams in business operations, earning the #1 merchandise brand in Minor League Baseball (MiLB) in 2024. The team also boasts the top social media ranking in MiLB, with over 357K followers across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Mr. Taylor was named Minor League Executive of the Year in 2023.

The Chihuahuas’ inaugural season in 2014 garnered national attention for their logo, merchandise, and promotions, with the Bark at the Park promotion earning MiLB’s Promotion of the Year and raising over $20,000 for local animal groups. Southwest University Park was named Ballpark of the Year in 2014, and Mr. Taylor was named a Pacific Coast League Executive of the Year finalist. He was a finalist again in 2017 and 2019.

Mr. Taylor has also played a key role in the success of Southwest University Park as a venue for major events, including professional international soccer matches, boxing, concerts, festivals, and more. As Senior Vice President for MountainStar Sports Group, he contributed to the launch of El Paso Locomotive FC and continues to supervise sales, marketing, and facility improvements at the ballpark to accommodate USL soccer.

Mr. Taylor serves on several boards, including the El Paso Chamber Board of Directors, the Hospitals of Providence Children’s Hospital Board, and the Border Youth Athletic Association Board. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Randolph-Macon College, where he played baseball and served as team co-captain. Mr. Taylor and his wife, Jennifer, have two sons, Braxton and Parker.
