Hector A. Flores, M.D.
Dr. Hector A. Flores serves as the Vice Chief of Staff for Sierra Campus and is a highly skilled cardiothoracic surgeon dedicated to providing advanced surgical care to patients in El Paso. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and completed his General Surgery Residency at the same institution. He further specialized with a Cardiothoracic Surgery Fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta, GA.
Board-certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery, Dr. Flores is proficient in adult cardiac surgery, minimally invasive valve repair and replacement, robotic thoracic surgery, and transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR). He is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the region, including The Hospitals of Providence Sierra Campus, Memorial Campus, and University Medical Center of El Paso.
Beyond his clinical expertise, Dr. Flores has held numerous leadership roles throughout his career, including serving as Vice Chief of Staff at Sierra Campus and contributing to medical education initiatives. Fluent in both English and Spanish, he is committed to providing exceptional, patient-centered care to the community.
In his free time, Dr. Flores enjoys spending time with family, automotive mechanics, hunting, and marksmanship.
