The Hospitals of Providence Achieves Gold Recognition for Ultrasound Imaging
Feb 21, 2025EL PASO, Texas — The Hospitals of Providence Memorial Campus has been awarded the gold seal of accreditation in ultrasound imaging as the result of an extensive review by the American College of Radiology (ACR).
Ultrasound imaging, also known as sonography, uses high-frequency sound waves to produce images of internal body parts to help providers diagnose illness, injury or other medical problems. The ACR gold seal of accreditation represents the highest level of image quality and patient safety. It is awarded only to facilities meeting specific requirements based on ACR Practice Parameters and Technical Standards after a peer-review evaluation by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field.
“We are incredibly proud of our Ultrasound Imaging Team for achieving this significant recognition, which is a testament to the high-quality care they provide our patients,” said Rob J. Anderson, Chief Executive Officer for The Hospitals of Providence Memorial Campus. “Designations such as these recognize their expert skill level in delivering high-quality images with patient safety always in mind.”
