As a native-born El Pasoan, Dr. Badillo truly cares about his community and the patients he serves. Early in his medical career, he volunteered as an interpreter, advisor, and mentor on medical mission trips, and in numerous clinics. Inspired by these experiences, Dr. Badillo excelled in several advanced fellowship programs, and brings over a decade of expertise as a board-certified gastroenterologist, with advanced interventional endoscopic training to our practice. He specializes in minimally invasive endoscopic treatment of hepatobiliary and pancreatic diseases. Dr. Badillo has received numerous awards and recognition for his leadership throughout his career. Additionally, he continues to advance medical knowledge and management of complex gastrointestinal and pancreaticobiliary diseases through his clinical research. Being a new patient, I provided my medical records to doctor. He reviewed notes & images of past procedures. Due to the gastric polyps I have and the test results being benign each time, the doctor felt it was not necessary for me to have a yearly endoscopy. I had colonoscopy 5 years ago, so he recommended I get my next one in 5 years. We spoke of current medications I'm taking for esophageal reflux. Told me to contact him if I needed refills. That was the extent of our visit, as a new patient.
