Dr. Javier L. Arenas is a board certified Urologist with Providence Urology Associates who is fellowship-trained in Robotic Surgery and Endourology. Dr. Arenas is a native El Pasoan who returned in 2015 after completing his medical education and serving in the US Airforce. During his service in the US Airforce, Dr. Arenas was a Chief of the Urology Element at Mike O'Callaghan Federal Hospital at Nellis Airforce Base in Nevada and was deployed in Operation Enduring Freedom at Bagram Air Field in Afganistan.
Dr. Arenas' interest focuses on laparoscopic minimally invasive urologic surgery and the treatment of kidney stone disease using ultra-low dose radiation exposure.

I developed a urine infection that had me getting up to use the bathroom 10 to 11 times. Dr Arenas nurse assistance took my call and listened carefully to my symptoms. She send her notes to Dr Arenas who was in surgery. Much to my surprise I received a call back with the hour asking me to come in for a urine test and a prescription for antibiotics. I initiated the call at 9 am and had my antibiotics shortly after noon. I began feeling some relief that very day. The entire time Virginia was extremely helpful and professional. She has excellent listening and follow up skills. Dr Arenas took the time on a surgery day to address my issues. I greatly appreciate the care and that they cared. They made me feel special and that I mattered.

The staff is extremely professional and very compassionate. Dr. Arenas is the BEST doctor and the only doctor that found out my Kidney function was low, I had been to 3 other doctors and an Infectious Disease doctor and nobody found my problem and never did the right test on my kidneys. Dr. Arenas did and I am very grateful to him.
