About Mark Cossentino
Dr. Mark J. Cossentino is a board certified Gastroenterologist with Providence Gastroenterology and Liver Associates. He graduated from Georgetown University School of Medicine and went on to complete his residency in internal medicine at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, where he also completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology. Prior to joining the El Paso medical community, Dr. Cossentino served in the US military beginning in 1991 until 2008. During his service in the US military, Dr. Cossentino was an attending physician and Assistant Chief of Gastroenterology Services at William Beaumont Army Medical Center at Ft. Bliss, as well as Chief of Gastroenterology, Staff Internist at the 31st Combat Support Hospital during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Once I got into the exam room, despite the feeling (and reality), that it was an assembly line operation, the staff were excellent. Everyone from all of the various nurses to the anesthesiologist were wonderful--treating me like an individual and a human being. Barely met the doctor so can't say. The large room was a bee hive of activity, and everyone working there was professional and kind. I had a very good experience, once I got in.

doctor Cossentino actually has taken the time to sit down an answer our concerns. My father did not want to go back to the gastroenterologist fearing endoscopy but doctor Cossentino assured him he would be gentle and explained that it needs to be done for his own good health to prevent death. Doctor Cossentino thank you for making my dad feel at ease I think all doctors should feel compassion towards their patients like if it was one of their own family members. Awesome Doctor
