I met the physician for the first time on this visit. She was professional and nice enough to talk to me about my real reason why I had obtain gynecologist. She informed she could not go in to a lot of detail because there would be problems with the insurance. Since I had signed up for an annual then that would be the reason for the visit. She informed me another visit needed to be scheduled. My previous gynecologist before was very relaxing, made me feel at ease, was warm. She moved and I needed a replacement. Everyone has a different way of being, I guess I need to accept that and understand that other physicians will be a little colder.

We came to the appointment with a list of questions and Dr. Weidner provided us with direct answers and then some. Dr. Weidner is well-spoken, communicative and well-informed in recent recommendations relevant to her field of practice. She takes the time to review past notes prior to coming into the exam room which shows me that she prioritizes looking at a patient within the context of their medical history, not just a singular, check-the-box visit. In short, in the few visits that I have had with Dr. Weidner, she has embodied what I prefer my doctor to be.

The original MD I would have liked to have booked with was not available for months but I was grateful given my urgent circumstance that the staff was able to book me quickly with an alternate doctor. The office staff was professional but also responsive and empathetic to my plight and added the "human" touch that I appreciated.

This care provider listens and takes time during initial visit to get to know the patient, which is highly important and somewhat rare in doctor offices today, so that's a valuable asset in any medical experience. Doctor bedside manner might have been a bit warmer and friendlier, but she was professional, seemed knowledgable and I feel she was competent in making decisions of next steps in my care.
