Emergency Room Edgemere COLA Laboratory Excellence Award

The Hospitals of Providence Emergency Room Edgemere is a recipient of the COLA Laboratory Excellence Award, the highest commendation by COLA, a non-profit laboratory accreditation organization that ensures commitment to excellence and quality in patient safety and health care.

The COLA Laboratory Excellence Award signifies The Hospitals of Providence Emergency Room Edgemere’s outstanding performance in quality patient testing and overall exemplary application of the principles of laboratory practices.

100 Hospitals and Health Systems With Great Oncology Programs

The Hospitals of Providence are recognized by Becker’s Hospital Review for cutting edge cancer treatment prevention and research based on clinical accolades, quality care and contributions to the field of oncology.

2013 Tenet Clinical Innovation Award

The Memorial Campus was one of the four Tenet hospitals across the nation to receive this award, recognizing its commitment to safety, quality and service.

Chest Pain Reaccreditation

The Sierra Campus was evaluated and reaccredited by the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care for its ability to assess, diagnose, and treat patients who experience a heart attack.

MAKOplasty®

The Sierra Campus was the first health care provider in El Paso to provide MAKOplasty®, an innovative robotic procedure that allows surgeons to partially resurface the arthritic portion of the knee while preserving healthy bone and tissue, relieving pain, restoring range of motion, and decreasing recovery time.

THOP Circle of Excellence Award

The East Campus received this award for the second time in a row for excelling in the areas of patient, physician and employee satisfaction, clinical quality, financial performance, and ability to perform consistently and approach challenges in innovative ways.

Certificate of Excellence for Outstanding Performance in Environmental Compliance

The Memorial Campus was awarded this certificate by the Industrial Pretreatment Section of the El Paso Water Utilities for 100% compliance with the Rules and Regulations of the Industrial Pretreatment Program during the 2011-2012 pretreatment year.

Bariatric Center of Excellence

The Memorial Campus meets all clinical qualifications and maintains a cost effective contract for participation in the Center of Excellence Network, resulting in its continued certification as Bariatric Center of Excellence.

Lifeline Bronze Receiving Quality Achievement Award

The Hospitals of Providence received this award from the American Heart Association for commitment and success in implementing high standard care for heart attack patients.

ACC HeartCARE Center Designation

1 of only 10 hospitals in the nation to receive ACC HeartCARE Center Designation. The Hospitals of Providence Sierra Campus was recognized by the American College of Cardiology for their commitment to consistent high-quality cardiovascular care. The hospital was the first in the region and one of only ten hospitals in the nation to receive this achievement.

Advanced Certification for Comprehensive Stroke Center

Sierra Campus achieves Advanced Certification for Comprehensive Stroke Center. The Hospitals of Providence Sierra Campus earned recognition as meeting the guidelines required for treatment of the most serious stroke events. Comprehensive Stroke Centers offer state-of-the-art infrastructure, staff and training to receive and treat patients with the most complex strokes.

American Heart Association/American Stroke Association with the Get With The Guidelines®-Stroke Awards

The Hospitals of Providence earn Gold Plus and Silver Plus awards for Stroke Care. The Hospitals of Providence was recognized by the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association with the Get With The Guidelines®-Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award earned by East Campus, Sierra Campus and Transmountain Campus and Silver Plus Quality Achievement Award by Memorial Campus.

Patient Safety

The Hospitals of Providence Sierra Campus earned top grade for patient safety. The Hospitals of Providence Sierra Campus once again has earned a grade “A” rating in The Leapfrog Group’s Fall 2019 Safety Score, demonstrating the commitment Sierra Campus has to delivering safe, high-quality patient care.

Level III Trauma Designation

The Hospitals of Providence East Campus and Memorial Campus achieve Level III Trauma Designation. East Campus and Memorial Campus were designated as Advanced Level III Trauma Centers by the Texas Department of State Health Services. The designations were awarded after Memorial Campus and East Campus showcased there commitment to accept a higher acuity of trauma patient, properly intervene and implement care.

Level IV Maternal Designation

The Hospitals of Providence Memorial Campus achieves Level IV Maternal Designation. The Hospitals of Providence Memorial Campus is designated a Level IV Maternal Care Center, the highest designation possible by the Texas Department of State and Health Services.

Level IV Maternal Care Centers offer the highest-level of care for moms and babies, providing comprehensive care for pregnant and postpartum patients, from those with low-risk conditions to the most complex medical, surgical and or obstetrical conditions that present a high-risk of maternal/neonatal morbidity.
