In the rapidly changing healthcare landscape, there is a growing shift in how providers are reimbursed for care they provide. Payments are beginning to be increasingly tied to demonstration of high quality, more efficient and cost-effective care for patients. HPPPN is committed to assisting our physician members in navigating and participating in these changes and providing a structure that allows them to take advantage of a range of alternative payment models (e.g. fee-service with shared savings arrangements, pay-for-performance, narrow networks).Joining HPPPN is easy. Participation is completely voluntary and non-exclusive. Also, since HPPPN is currently focused on negotiating value based bonus arrangements that are additional to the direct agreements you hold, your existing payer contracts remain in place with your practice.
In order to participate, physicians will need to sign a network participation agreement and agree to follow a program of clinical initiatives aimed at improving the quality and efficiency of care provided to your patients. Medical staff privileges at The Hospitals of Providence or being approved by our board for participation is also required.
